1. Introduction & Purpose

Revfest is dedicated to providing a competitive and safe environment for motorcycle racing enthusiasts. This rulebook outlines the standards and procedures to ensure fair competition and the safety of all participants.

2. Eligibility & Licensing

  • Age Requirement: Participants must be at least 18 years old. Minors may participate with parental consent and appropriate waivers.
  • Licensing: All riders must possess a valid motorcycle racing license recognized by Revfest. First-time racers may be required to complete an approved race school.
  • Medical Clearance: A current medical certificate may be required to ensure rider fitness.

3. Motorcycle Classes & Technical Specifications

Revfest features multiple classes to accommodate various motorcycle types and rider skill levels:

  • SuperSport (600cc): Production-based motorcycles with limited modifications.
  • SuperBike (1000cc): Higher-performance machines with more extensive modifications permitted.
  • Lightweight: Motorcycles up to 500cc, focusing on agility and rider development.
  • Vintage: Motorcycles manufactured before a specified year, maintaining historical integrity.
  • Electric: Zero-emission motorcycles meeting specific performance criteria.

4. Safety Equipment & Rider Gear Requirements

  • Helmet: DOT or ECE-certified full-face helmet in good condition.
  • Riding Suit: One-piece or zip-together two-piece leather suit with adequate padding.
  • Gloves & Boots: Full-coverage gloves and boots designed for motorcycle racing.
  • Back Protector: CE-approved back protector is mandatory.

5. Flag Signals & Meanings

  • Green Flag: Track is clear; race or session is underway.
  • Yellow Flag: Caution; slow down and no overtaking.
  • Red Flag: Race stopped; return to the pits safely.
  • Black Flag: Rider must return to the pits due to a rule infraction or mechanical issue.
  • Checkered Flag: Race or session has ended.

7. Points System & Championship Standings

Points are awarded based on finishing positions in each race. The cumulative points determine championship standings

8. Protests & Appeals Process

  • Protests: Must be submitted in writing within 30 minutes of the race’s conclusion.
  • Appeals: Decisions can be appealed to the Revfest Appeals Committee within 7 days.

9. Code of Conduct & Penalties

  • Sportsmanship: All participants must exhibit respect and professionalism.
  • Substance Abuse: Use of alcohol or drugs before or during events is strictly prohibited.
  • Penalties: Violations may result in warnings, fines, disqualification, or suspension.
